Hi there,

After 24 hours with the plugin, though my settings are enabled for views from everyone, it appears WPP is only logging my own visits. I’ve gone through the steps in the troubleshooting list, but nothing I’ve tried so far has made a difference.

A couple of things:
- I’ve added /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/assets/js/(.*).js to my WP Rocket Javascript file exclusion list
- I cleared the cache via Cloudflare, but that didn’t seem to have any effect.

Hi @amandabandb,

Since you’re using WP Rocket on your website it might be a good idea to check out this FAQ to make sure WordPress Popular Posts can work with it: Is WordPress Popular Posts compatible with caching plugins?

Additionally, I noticed that you seem to be using WooCommerce on your website. Right now there’s a compatibility issue with that plugin. The WC team has been made aware of the problem and they’re currently looking into this: popular-posts returns error 403 and rest_cookie_invalid_nonce code in json.

Ahhh, that might be it! Thanks so much for the quick response – I’ll keep my eye on the WooCommerce issue, as I am also using the PayPal Gateway plugin.

Also worth reading: I’m getting “Sorry. No data so far”. What’s up with that?

Just wanted to follow up and confirm that it definitely was the PayPal Gateway plugin. As soon as I deactivated it, WPP started logging views from everyone.

Thanks for the update, @amandabandb. Are you using the latest version of the PayPal Gateway plugin? AFAIK the issue with that specific plugin was fixed months ago (or at least other users reporting the problem said that it was fixed), unless recent versions introduced a regression.

Yes. In fact, I just deleted the WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway plugin completely, reinstalled with a fresh copy of version 2.1.1 (most recent) and the same problem started right away again.

Damn. Well, I may need to report the issue to the team behind the PayPal Gateway plugin again (or just reopen the old GitHub issue if I can find it.) I’ll do some testing this upcoming weekend and report back.
