# Only show recent, active, select posts

 * I run a site with posts that primarily have to do with events, and so are time
   specific. I want to show a sticky post as well as 3 to 5 “active” posts, as opposed
   to showing all of them since the existence of the site.
 * But many of these events repeat so I’d like to hold on to, or store, most of 
   the posts.
 * Is there a way (or plugin) that would allow me show only posts that fall under
   a designated category? For example, show those categorized as “Recent,” while
   not showing the old posts under “Uncategorized” or “Old?”
 * Or is there a better way to do this?

 * Dang, and I was just getting a handle on CSS! maybe. Not sure if I want to go
   that route right at this point. I do appreciate it though!
 * Not as sexy, but I just thought of something. As these fall off the radar time-
   wise, could I not just check-mark particular keeper posts as “private” or “drafts?”

 * But we’re talking maybe a couple or few dozen, not hundreds. And post once every
   week or two then setting them back to “draft” status may be more accurate.

 * Well, yah, the posts page. I went in and changed to Draft the ones I don’t want
   to show. I think that that’ll work for now. That way I can save them for later
   events.
 * And I don’t want to beat this dead horse, so to speak. I just didn’t know if 
   there was a plugin that would do that.
 * I appreciate your help and will keep the coding option in mind if I decide to
   go that route.
