I am making a new Page on an existing 4.1.2 install and had been working on it fine adding a Gravity Form and Publishing it and reviewing it on multiple browsers when it suddenly stopped creating the page and started giving a White Screen of Death:
    http://www.mandourlaw.com/engagement/

All other pages on the site still load fine. So I assume it is not a Theme issue?

I tried uninstalling all plugins and no effect.

Since there wasn’t much content to it I deleted the page and removed it from the trash. I then recreated it with the same slug and it still does not create even a page with ‘test’ in the content.

In the meantime I can create new pages no problem:
    http://www.mandourlaw.com/test-2/

I have searched through the forums for a similar issue but nothing seems to match what is happening here.

I have gone so far as to search the wp-posts table in MySQL and delete the post from there but that does not fix the situation.

My assumption is that there is something in the database causing a problem. So I a optimized the DB as well but that had no effect.

Any advice or help here would be greately appreciated.

Does it work if you temporarily switch to the Twenty Fifteen theme?

Unfortunately this is live site so I am hesitant to try that during business hours. I will try it later on.

It seems like the theme cannot be the issue since I am able to create other new pages with no problem, as well as existing pages still show up.

Could this have anything to do with Gravity Forms? I switched from their PayPal Pro add on to the PayPal Standard add on and that is when I think this first occured. Could the add on/plugin have created something in the database attached to this slug?

Thanks for the feedback so far.

It could have something to do with Gravity Forms, but you’ll need to check with them on that.

Please let us know if switching the theme made any difference, assuming Gravity Forms doesn’t think it’s them.

Yeah I reached out to them and will report back.

Please let us know how that goes. 🙂

Total user error. I had created a custom template page called page-engagement.php in an attempt to do something to remove the sidebar that the theme builder had hardcoded into the footer.php file.

Once I deleted the page-engagement.php file the URL worked again.

    Sorry for bothering everyone.

No worries, thanks for letting us know what it was! 🙂
