• What isn;t made obvious is to migrate your site you need 2.5 times as much space for their software to work. So if you have a 10gb limit on your hosting package your site had better be no bigger than 2.5gb which is quite small. With a 20gb package your site could be 5 gb – again not a lot.

    Then if you try and move your backup off yoru hosting provider you have to purchase an extension $89 or £60 gbp. However, when you receive the email to download the software – guess what ? none of the links work to download or to get the installtion instructons. So you use the online chat – guess what that is broken as well. Fill in the online contact support – guess what ? yep broken again. Then you find that the pluggin to store to your Google drive – guess what ? doesn’t work even for small files it defaults to your local device’s download folder.

    Really the whole set up is a complete shambles and can only cope wth small sites – in which case you are probably better off rebuilding /republishing your site on the new host and get a new clean site

    When creating a backup it is expected that at least the same amount of free space as your site’s size is needed – just like copying any file it can’t happen without room to store the copy. We recommend 2.5x the site size to ensure the process completes safely and leaves room for temporary files, database exports, and potentially multiple backups.

    So if your site is 5GB, having 12.5GB free ensures you don’t run into issues mid-process. This isn’t unique to our plugin – it’s a practical requirement for any backup system.

    We’ve checked our systems and can confirm there have been no outages or system-wide failures this year. All product links and support tools are fully operational. Most likely, a privacy blocker, browser extension, or email security setting is preventing those links from working.

    Also, to clarify pricing: our products are priced at $69 for the Unlimited Extension and $99 for the Cloud Storage extensions. We do not sell any products for $89, so it’s possible there was some confusion there.
