Only 2 posts are showing under showcase slider. I am setting the 3rd post sticky but it doesn’t appear under the slider.

Are you using Oxygen theme hosted here?
http://wordpress.org/themes/oxygen

When create or edit a post, don’t assign as sticky, do assign as featured. If you don’t see the option to assign as featured, pull down the screen option at the top right.
