Only 1 Site's Feed Timesout via Multisite

    I have a wordpress multisite running for a podcast network. Every feed I send to iTunes works well, even a heftier feed in the network; however, I have one specific site that times out via feed validator and has gotten kicked out of iTunes due to the feed issue.

    This is the feed with the issues:
    http://atouchofcrass.net/category/shows/feed/

    This is the secondary feed (which also times out via feed validator):
    http://atouchofcrass.net/feed/podcast/

    One of my sites on the same multisite install has a larger feed, is setup identical to the first one, yet has no issues validating…

    What is wrong between the A Touch of Crass feed and the Hammer and Nigel feed? All the other sites on the network work as expected.

    Do you have plugins active on one site, but not the others?

    The same plugins are active throughout all sites. I was hoping to find that rogue plugin that was messing up the feed, but it isn’t there.

    I am; however, about to start deactivating plugins one by one and see if there is a conflict even if it is a bit odd that it would affect just one site.

    You’re using domain mapping for that? How did you set it up?

    I am on a shared plan, but a wordpress centric shared plan… It is on WebSynthesis and it has run very well on that server for quite some time. I got too big for bluehost type servers long ago, but too small for a dedicated server. I have all the podcast files (the mp3 and video files on Amazon S3), so the server is only hosting text, images, and site files.

    – ZillaShortcodes

    Have you asked Web Synthesis why the rss feed is slow? It’s managed hosting, IIRC, but they should be able to check the server for you.
