One User’s Author Page is a 404 Error

My site currently has two main authors … Joe and Bob. When you click a post authored by Joe … it says “Blah Blah? was written January 23rd, 2006 by Joe, and filed under Uncategorized.? You can then click Joe’s name and be taken to his author page. However, the link to Bob’s author’s page goes to a 404 Error: Not Found.

I’ve tried deleting and readding the user Bob with no luck. I’ve also tried acting as Joe and authoring the post as Bob, but that creates a new problem. In that case, Bob’s author page is then linked to that of another (third) user.

I did my best to explain the issue, sorry if it’s not the clearest. Please let me know if you have any tips or hints. (I’m using WP 2.0). Thank you!

    -C.

If anyone has any suggestions, they’d be really appreciated.

I haven’t touched anything other than installing a couple themes. However, the problem persists no matter what theme I’m using.

    Would a reinstall be benefitial?

    Again, thank you.

lelyons, looks like you’re using free-hosted wordpress from wordpress.com, so you’ll need to post this at http://wordpress.com/forums.

If this isn’t the case, then please start your own thread, as this is NOT the same situation at all as the OP is dealing with.

Wow, quick response. Thanks. I already figured out I was using the wrong forum. Sorry to waste your time.

No problem, sometimes we don’t get it figured out for a while, so glad you saw it right away.

Yeah, I can see how that could happen. Happy fixing.
