I’ve upload images in to the media library (PNGs mostly) for thumbnails of posts. I insert the image from the library at the end of a post, and it shows up fine on the front page, of THAT post. Then, I insert the same picture into another post, at the end, from the library, and it won’t show up.
Is this something to do with the theme or WordPress in general?
The article titled “ART Episode 44 – Burnt Banana Bread (Video)” Has a thumbnail. The article “ART Episode 43 – Amiga Overload! (Video)” below it, doesn’t have a thumbnail, yet it appears when you go to read the article by clicking on it’s title. The same graphic for 2 different articles, but it only appears in one article.
It’s definitely a theme issue. Unfortunately that means I don’t know what criteria the theme is using when it tries to create the post thumbnail image. Have you tried simply moving the image higher up in the post text?
I’m also a little confused by the fact that, in ART Episode 44 T-Shirt (which does show the post thumb), that image is the second image in the post. That suggests to me that you must go through some semi-manual process of identifying which image you want to become the post thumb. That could be via a custom field or by ensuring that your chosen post thumb is the first image that you upload when editing/creating the post.
