    Hi, we’re having an odd issue when we set the “membership access requires” dropdown to “One Payment For Finite Access”. We have set the membership fee and for it to last 1 year.

    But when the user registers, they are not required to pay, but instead presented with a message that says “You will pay nothing for access until…” and then inserts the date of membership expiry.

    Why doesn’t it ask for payment before granting the membership?

    I can’t replicate the same on my installation. Please let me know what payment getaway is set for that membership.

    Are the users new to this membership, or they are returning users?

    Hi again Nastia,

    The payment gateway is both Paypal and Stripe. The users are trying to create new memberships.

    Hello Anthony,

    I can’t replicate it on my site. Please make sure that the price (payment amount) is set in the Membership’s > Payment Options settings:

    Please let me know what is the membership’s type: standard or dripped content membership.

    Can you try to replicate the same with all the other plugins deactivated? Please share a link to the membership’s registration page.

    If all the above settings are right, would you please enable WordPress debugging, add the following rules inside the wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

    Sign up for a membership with a dummy user and check the wp-content/debug.log file for errors or warnings.
