[Resolved] One of Several Authors Limited to Display of One Post

  • This is so weird. I have a site http://www.clarkesvillewritingsociety.org/ where there are several members with the Author role (and they’re really authors!).

The authors who have posted more than once have their posts showing just fine… with one exception, Marie. http://www.clarkesvillewritingsociety.org/author/mkinneer/

Only the most recent post is displayed completely. All the others show only the post title.

I am using the Path theme, but I have confirmed the problem also exists with Twenty Eleven.

I copied the HTML from one of the non-displaying posts and created a post of my own with the same code. It displayed just fine.

Marie is not happy that her posts are not showing, and I sure hope you can help.

  • hi, you should try to deactivate your plugins to see if the same thing happens (in TwentyEleven)

you could also unpublish Mary’s latest post, to check if the next in line shows up.

(take backup before you change – that’s a good rule 😉

Yes, deactivating the plugins got all the posts displayed, and in the Path theme. Thank you for that suggestion.

Now to reactivate until I discover the culprit. Hopefully, I can identify the most likely suspects.

    ok great 😉

ps: it would be interesting to know what plugin caused this.

OK, I checked, and the villain is:
    User Specific Content
This Plugin allows you to select specific users by user name, or by role name who can view a specific post content or page content.

I hadn’t done anything with it, just installed and activated. So maybe I was to blame for not checking its settings. I’m going to leave it out.
