HI there, i enjoyed your plugin, but had an oddball, i guess, anomaly.
On this website, which is a replica of a production site on my testing server,
i used the media cleaner ( free version) and it scanned 500 images, and i deleted them, which worked great. There are images only in widget areas, so only about 40 or so images should remain, which almost all of them did. Just 2 or 3 of those images however, which were in very old WP folders , were removed, even though clearly they were in the widget as <img src= code, so visually you can see which ones they were, my scrolling the page widget titles remain, images deleted. I’m wondering how that might have happened, and what i might do on the production site to avoid it? Or did i discover a problem ? Thanks so much for your wonderful plugin though, its a marvel.

    Hi @eddierosenthal,

Normally, images in pure HTML like you mentioned in the widgets area are detected. In your case, it seems like it works for most of them, and only a few of them got deleted, right?

Can you look more into the differences between one image which was properly detected and another one which wasn’t? I am thinking about the exact HTML code which were used for them, mainly 🙂

    Hi Jordy,
I did try to see what the difference might have been, one difference was size, but it was pretty slim difference. It also could have been the date of the upload, it was several years ago this file was uploaded, and may have been the only of of that age in a widget. I did use the free version after testing, and making sure i had all the images backed up on my desktop hard drive, such that i could easily replace the file if it happened when i migrated the site. It did not happen again so i can testify your plugin worked marvelously. It was a one off, otherwise for sure i would have purchased a single license version. I may yet, after the site builds up again its huge library of images. The site ( robchrisman.com) uses these banners to bring more interest in different companies listed in the commentary and on the sidebars. I am not sure if the plugin removes all the different versions of the images that are created by WP when uploaded or not, that would be a great feature if it doesn’t. Thanks for creating a wonderful plugin!
