Sure. Put the WordPress files in two separate folders under your web-root folder. Say you put them in folder1 and folder2 so you then can access them as yourdomain.com/folder1 and yourdomain.com/folder2.
Also see Installing Multiple Blogs. If you are going to be using the same database for both installs, you will need a different $table_prefix in each installs wp-config.php file.

I’m not sure if I’m using the same database or not – not even sure what the database is for. Yikes, I’m sure you didn’t want to hear THAT. I’m not a programmer, and I’m poking along very slowly trying to pick up where my web master left off before business took a dive. What is the DB for, and do I have to do anything in particular with it?
