# One database – Import

 * Hi all,
 * a couple of years ago I was running a PhpBB3 forum, on MySQL database. Years 
   later a mate of mine installed WordPress for me, and used the same MySQL database…
 * Now I want to terminate this PhPBB forum, import all the posts into WP and get
   rid of the forum.
 * Question: I tried using a simple import tool (bbPress) but it failed to import.
   I guess it’s because I need to “split” the database ?
 * If I don’t need to split, then how can I import the forum’s post into WP posts,
   and replies as comments while keeping the date/time tags and users ?
 * Cheers, any insight will be helpful.
