Support » Plugin: PayPal WP Button Manager » One-click Button for both One-time + Recurring Donations

  • Hi,

Can I create a button that takes the user to a paypal payment screen where they may
    1. enter the amount they wish to donate, &
    2. check recurring if they want (or leave it one-time)
    ?

Thanks for your time and support

Yes, choose Donation for the button type when creating a new button with the plugin. Then you’ll see an option for “Contribution Amount” and you can set either “Donors enter their own amount” or “Donors enter a fixed amount”.

So you’ll pick to enter their own amount, of course. When you use that button to make a donation you should see the option to make it a recurring donation.

Testing this and not finding a way to enable the user to click “recurring”.
I do not see the option to make a recurring donation: not at the first screen where I can type in a payment amount, nor in the second payment screen (after I’ve logged into Paypal). I went through the whole donation process.

I set up a “Donation” button with the setting of “Donors enter their own amount”.

Secondly, when I put in a custom URL to an image, your plugin still depicted the Paypal Donate .gif (with the credit cards below it). I need it to display the following image:

This sample page has a donate button at the top that was created using our plugin. When you click that button, it loads a screen like this:

    Recurring Option

So you can see there that you have the option to set your amount and make it recurring if you want to.

The custom image problem is something we will have fixed in the next update which will be coming soon.

Ok; is there a way I can be made aware/ notified when the update comes out?

That layout is quite different than the one I get on my button (which I’ve now taken down, for the moment being; happy to enable testing when the update comes out).

Thanks again for the support and the promptness of the reply.

You will see the update in the WordPress admin panel the same as any other plugin update that becomes available.

What do you see after you choose to Donate with PayPal? You should see something similar to the screenshot I provided at that point..??
