on WampServer Sql import gives blank page

    Hello,

    My online site is hacked. Now I try to restore the site local on a wampserver. The wampserver is running and also WP 3.4 is running. If I try to import my SQL dump on the wampserver, the dump is made in WP 2.9.1. phpMyadmin say’s “Import has been successfully finished, 315 queries executed” but as I go to localhost there is only a blank page.

    (I have change in the SQL file the database name, the user name and the password, with Notepad++).

    What have I done wrong?

    You need to install WordPress 2.9.1, restore the backup database and then upgrade to 3.4.1. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for full upgrade instructions.

    I have running the Wampserver with WP 2.9.1. but as I import the SQL file with phpmyadmin. The database seems Ok there is a lot of data in. But as I restart wordpress on localhost the same white screen appears. There is something more wrong.

    What happens if you install WP2.9.1 but don’t restore your database backup?

    The result is that I have no website only a lot of pictures. I can try to import via tools, import a XML file but in the past this did not work for me. The XML file is made by phpmyadmin.

    Phpmyadmin does not create .xml files.

    Than I don’t have furter option to restore the site because mij backup is / was always a SQL file. Because I didn’t manage to get export in WordPress to work.

    The wamp server that I had running as backup and work tool is also corrupt.
    Therefore the backup tthat i never tested is old.

    What version of WordPress was used to create your old backup?

    I have found a XML file (localhost) from early june 2012. Don’t know why i made this, but it is there. The wampserver is working with 2.9.1. with this file. Now restoring all the settings. The last pages must be rebuild. But luckly the most is back. The next problem is to bring the website back to the Provider.
    And to test of all the plugins will work on 3.4 because the provider will not release my website before I have updated to the last WP release.
    How to install wordpress with only a ftp connection is a further problem. This is the reason why I never have upgraded wordpress. Did it once and the complete site (database) was corrupt, never found out what was going wrong. I was forced to restore the site by the the provider and pay for it.

    Hello,

    Ik can not deactivate my plugins. Can I get the same effect bij deleting with FTP the plugin directory.
