Support » Networking WordPress » On multisite with Subdirectories not able to get https working on subsites

  • Hi,

I have created my multisite a while back and everything is working fine 🙂

Now I installed OpenSSL to get my site on https.

    I corrected :

wp_options: options named “siteurl” and “home”
    wp_sitemeta: the option named “siteurl”
wp_blogs: any entries in the “domains” column that have the old domain name
wp_#_options: Each sub-site will have sets of tables that correspond to the blog_id in the wp_blogs table. You need to go to the wp_#_options table, where # corresponds to the blog_id, and update the “siteurl” and “home” settings in that table.

    And define( ‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘’ );

When I go to , it says 404 Not found –
    Not Found
The requested URL /civtbg was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.25 (Raspbian) Server at Port 443

If I set it back to http then it works fine again.

Any ideas why I am not able to get it to work ?

    Best Regards

  • Hi,

i can see that your certificate is not valid anymore. try to contact your domain host to validate your certificate.

    i hope this helps

It is a certificate I made my self, but it seems to work fine with

It is only when I add then it seems to not be able to find the site.

Because I am using sub folders, then I thought adding one certificate should be fine ?

I thought that I could just add this one certificate
    and it would be okay.

Where do you see that the certificate is not valid anymore ?

As I visit both of the URL that you provided it seems that both shows invalid certificate even without (/civtbg) you can try to update your certificate in your hosting site. If you want to check your certificate validity information you can click the icon lock at the right side of the address bar.

Yes you can try to add another certificate.

But if the url without “/civtbg” works but the other dont, is that not a bit weird ?

Which is why I am not sure it is a certificate issue.

    Thanks again for you help
