• I have been desperately trying to figure out how to resolve the following issue.

I just pointed to a new database with a new hosting provider. After getting the themes to work, I noticed that all my links were pointing to a different blog that I run along with pulling in the first three blog entries of the other blog.

I have been trying to figure out how this happened and how I can fix it. I’ve been looking through myPHPAdmin, the index.php file and the theme itself (although this happens with any theme I have.)

Any clarity and help is greatly appreciated!

  • is the new database actually a brand new database or is it a backup of your database from the previous host which you have moved to the new host?

It’s an existing (new) database. My blog was pointing to an old database on a different hosting provider. When that hosting provider closed for business, I updates to the new hosting provider.

I changed the database, username and password in the index.php file of the blog to point to the new hosting provider database. The blog theme shows up, but now the entries are being pulled from another blog that I have. So basically Blog A has the first three entries from Blog B (hosted on a different database on the same hosting provider)
