Support » Fixing WordPress » "Older Posts" not showing older posts

    I’m working on the page above, and have it functioning quite well.

    I’m restricting the page to show the latest 5 posts, which is forcing the page to display a button that says “Older Posts” at the bottom of the page. This is good, however, when you click the button it takes you to “Page 2” but displays the same 5 posts. Why would this be?

    Should I be doing this differently?

  • Find the following code

    </div><!--/post-<?php the_ID(); ?>-->

    replace it with following code

    <?php endwhile; ?>
    				<div class="navigation">
    					<?php if(function_exists('wp_pagenavi')) { wp_pagenavi(); } else { ?>
    					<div class="alignleft"><?php next_posts_link('« Older Entries') ?></div>
    					<div class="alignright"><?php previous_posts_link('Newer Entries »') ?></div>
    					<?php } ?>

    In which file?

    Sorry for all the questions. I’m new to this! 🙂

    I can’t see it in the file index.php which is sending to my Blog posts page.

    Here is the code on that file:

    I’m using the theme SmashingMultiMedia and I’m also using the WP-PageNavi plugin to try and display my older posts. When I click on Older Posts it only shows the same posts over and over again. How can I fix this problem? I’ve looked high and low for solving this problem and I can’t seem to find it. Please help!

    Did anyone find a solution for this? I’m having the same problem. Help please!!
