Hi
even if I type in a page that doesn’t exist anymore such as http://www.brownandbrownarchitects.com/people.html
or even a random thing like brownandbrownarchitects.com/qwerty
it still leads me to a completly random page
Thanks
Resolved the dodgy link myself a “wpppm plugin” had found its way in to the cpanel files…. Just need to work out how to reindex the site…
What was described at first, using a Search Engine, and the latter, going directly to a link are very different things…A search on Google of “brown and brown architects” showed your site’s home url as the top page 1 item…
I strongly suggest you change your admin password(s) to very strong ones, and then use Google Webmaster Tools, perhaps even Google XML Sitemaps plugin, and keep an eye on your site using an online security scan such as Sucuri.
Also, did you remove all content that was in old site before adding WordPress? If not, you may well have old files still in place…
