• From my site I can only access posts, that were published after I had to re-install wp. Earlier posts are visible when I check the corresponding database, but there is no way to read them or access them from my wp-site. How can I recover from this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • If you are comfortable managing MySQL, maybe one way to solve it would be to export those old tables to a sql file, install a WordPress locally, import the old tables (make sure to rename them to whatever it’s needed so they are picked up correctly: wp_posts), export the posts to an xml file, and finally import the xml back into your new WordPress installation. That way, everything should be migrated (posts and meta), posts will receive unique ids if they collide with the new posts, you can switch authors if you need to, and so on.

Well, thank you for your input.
But sorry, no way to do this, as I’m unable to run a wordpress installation on my machine at home.
