    Hello guys, how are you?

    I’m facing a serious issue…

For few years i experience an issue with my site. In the start when i build all my sites, i didn’t know the impact of redirects permalink.

    For example.

When you install WordPress with some Theme.

And the main page have in the SLUG option (i use Yoast, give me the option to set up the SLUG of WordPress core on any page)

Lets say the front page have a slug of “mesmerize”

Now, even if i will change it, “mesmerize” slug still redirecting to the main page… i try to monetize and delete all this old slug, but it didn’t work for me.

I tried to reset the permalinks couple of times, but nothing works for me.

For example, before long time ago i made a mistake and put in the slug:

    locksmithunit.es/cer

It’s still redirecting to the main page. (now in my slug have cerrajero-barcelona)

But i still not succeeded get rid of the mistake i have done (locksmithunit.es/cer)

i have 120 pages on each site and i did a lot of mistake along the way…

Have a way to get rid of all this redirects?

I was thinking to export all the page and open a new website.

But still the export tool via WordPress take the old permalinks slug as well with the redirects:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-importer/

Have a way to fix it?

Or at least export all the pages without these olds redirects?

By the way, the plugin WordPress importer is a core plugin made by wordpress.org

I believe be much easier to get answer for any option here and not in the plugin page.

(maybe this core plugin can’t help me and need to do something different, this one of the reason i ask that here guys)

Be very happy for your help.

There is generally no reason to remove these redirects, but if you’d like to remove them, no need to export and import your posts. Install a plugin to manage redirects, like Redirection, and you can view/edit/remove the redirects that have built up over the years.

I tried on all of my websites (3 websites)

    Plugin not working:

Have another way to do it?

Btw, even if you export the pages, its still use these redirects.

I rebuild my websites couple of times and all the time the redirects moving with the exportation.
