Old items deleted from WooCommerce still appear in catalog after sync

We have been using this plugin for a couple of years. Currently, our catalog contains 100+ items that have since been deleted completely from WooCommerce and redirected to a generic “sold out” page, so there is no way to mark them out of sync on WooCommerce. The sync hasn’t removed these items from the Facebook Catalog and they cannot be manually deleted from the Facebook commerce manager (see screenshot):

Sold items are also not marked as “sold out” in the Facebook Catalog. We sell unique, single-quantity items so it is necessary to mark them as sold out or delete the old items when they are gone. What is the proper way of doing this so that they are deleted from the Facebook Catalog?

Is it necessary to unlink items from Facebook sync in the Product Data settings before deleting them? (See below)

Hello,

As a first step, please share a copy of your site’s System Status Report, that is located under WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.

One option is to delete all products, and then let them sync again. But please send the report first so that we can get a better idea about the site configuration.

Hello,

You can try by going to Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync to manually sync the products. The goal is to force the products to sync from the Facebook feed.

If that doesn’t work, please refer to the following thread to see if the solutions presented work for you.

As stated before, syncing products has done nothing to resolve this and doesn’t solve the issues now.
I will look into the other options but maybe these features and functionalities should be added as settings to the plugin, considering it is being presented as “The official Facebook for WooCommerce plugin that connects your WooCommerce website to Facebook.”

As stated before, syncing products has done nothing to resolve this and doesn’t solve the issues now.

I understand that re-syncing the products did not resolve your issue here. If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

I will look into the other options but maybe these features and functionalities should be added as settings to the plugin, considering it is being presented as “The official Facebook for WooCommerce plugin that connects your WooCommerce website to Facebook.”

I believe this has been raised already as a feature request here: Products that go out of stock will continue to be shown in the Facebook feed.
