I have a site that is now my responsibility. It uses woocommerce 2.2.10! and i need to update it. Just looking to find some info on what will go wrong if i skip all those versions in between and if any one has delt with this before and has tips. Is there a way to export all product info? i have seen plugins but for $200 seems ridiculous. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If I skip versions will it crash or ruin the database, just unsure what it entails to update.

Hello,

You should be safe to update from 2.2 to 2.5. Just be sure to make a full site and database backup beforehand, that way you can always roll back if need be.

WooCommerce handles updates with these callbacks: https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce/blob/master/includes/class-wc-install.php#L21 & functions: https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce/blob/master/includes/wc-update-functions.php. Each update you missed will still have it’s updater functions run.

So in theory, everything should be fine 🙂
