 * Hi,
 * Want to update to WP 3.0.1 but much prefer the color scheme of 2.9 which I’m
   still using on another site.
 * I tried to go into /wp-admin/css and download and re-upload the 2.9’s stylesheet(
   to the 3.0 installation) but that didn’t work to change the colors!
 * Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

 * If you’re referring to the Admin color scheme, you can change it in 3.0 via your
   profile.

 * thanks esmi,
 * i’m absolutely crazy for the little things though and its not the same in the
   old one (even blue).
 * i know this seems ridiculous but its a fairly big website and i spend about 1-
   2 hours every day of my life working in the backend I want it to look the way
   i want it to!!!!
 * so to come back to my original question would there by any way of exporting the
   2.9’s admin css file and uploading it to the 3.0 install?

 * I would say no. Since more things have changed than just css.

 * ah ok i guess ill just have to get with the times and upgrade then. no point
   hanging around on 2.9 for too much longer!!!

 * Nope…. upgrading is good! New features, keep current on security, etc.
 * You do have the option of customizing your admin area with your own css through
   your functions.php file (or there are plugins to do it)
 * I have a totally customized admin area that I set up, a bit of work, but pretty
   fun!
