# Old Back Up

 * I made a copy of my wordpress files before doing a complete re-install. I need
   to find the location of the posts and pages within the folders of old wordpress
   files so I can get them uploaded back to the working site.
 * Where can I find them?

 * So does that mean all the old content is gone? Sorry, I’m new to wordpress and
   it’s all very confusing. I have the files exactly as they were in my FTP, I copied
   and pasted them to my hard drive, did I lose all my old content?

 * Unless you have a backup copy of the database, or your old hosting provider still
   has one, the content is lost.
