• Don’t leave MailChimp just yet.

The promise of a somewhat “FREE” experience has to be weighed against:

    – bad customer service
    – getting booted or banned for list issues
    – learning curve time and real cost savings

I switched from MailChimp to MailPoet and it was a mistake.

MailPoet is a young company with a lot of attitude and it works well I guess for a lot of people. But there is a large chunk of others such as myself who found the experience of using the product unsatisfying.

I give it 2 stars for effort. But like I said — you will spend all this time learning how to use a new tool and then realize it is basically MailChimp but with worse service and god forbid you have Spam — you are banned forever. What does that mean exactly? Like from Christmas parties banned forever, or from a Fraternity initiation?

Why not just help users who experience problems with your product and move forward.

I was able to get some attention from their employees by posting in a very large WooCommerce Group on Facebook, I doubt I would have had any response had this person not felt obliged to reply knowing upwards of 40,000 people were seeing my comments.

Anyway — I am banned for having some Spam issues. Oooooooh.

I guess I will have to go back to MailChimp with the SAME list who somehow doesn’t get SPAM issues and never spammed me.

    sheesh.
