Support » Plugin: WP Document Revisions » Ok, that's it – I give up

  • I did think there was some light at the end of the tunnel when version 2.0 came along, but no.
It’s broken for me on more than one site.
All plugin’s, theme’s & WP are up-to-date – this plugin is simply broken.
All the PDF’s that have been uploaded look corrupt when viewing on-screen.
I’m done, now I have to find some of way transitioning away from this without it taking hours & hours of nonchargeable time.
    Avoid at all costs.

  • I am using it just fine on http://foreclosurepedia.org and http://iafst.org

Just installed it today on WP 4.x

I am using fine as well.

I am willing to bet that you have something misconfigured on your server…
We have it running great on multiple sites for around 6 months, used 1 click updates the entire time… now I am at WP v4.1.1 and it still works great.

    BTW:
Just a little perspective before saying things like “Avoid at all costs”.
We have over 600 employees, so we saved ~$108k per year by not using SharePoint.($18k/yr per 100 users on EA)

    Is that “cost” high enough?

Remember, when forced to choose… “one must always choose the lesser of two weevils.”

Fair comment threemc, a little harsh perhaps.
Regardless, it’s caused me more headaches than I care to remember, so I’m happy to consign this one to history.

I apologize if my phrasing seemed harsh, I tried to soften it up with the “Master and Commander” movie quote.

Next time, please, keep criticisms constructive and refrain from venting and shifting/pointing blame. The developer deserves at least that level of respect, for providing and maintaining this for FREE.

Anyways I had a similar issue, took 3 hours to diagnose that the cause is a fully updated commercial slideshow plugin solution from “Nextend” called “Smart Slider 2”.

In my case the uploaded files to the server, were not corrupted (direct download of file with MD5 hashed name via (s)FTP still worked fine), however when I went to download using the document’s link it returned a corrupted file. This was for every file type, sound familiar maybe?

Not at all, you are dead right & it’s generally not how I like to operate, so a reminder from time to time is a good thing.
BTW – the ‘harsh’ comment was in regards to my original comment – not your reply 😉

    Cool! 🙂
