Support » Plugin: WP Link Builder » Ok, so What Does This Plugin Do?

  • Hi,

I’ve had this plugin running for around six months now, and there are loads of listed backlinks.

However, what do you do with them?

If I get a backlink from a social media site, then I know exactly where it’s come from. But if I get a backlink from a live website, I try clicking on the website and there’s no sign of any link-back to mine.

In the backlink list, there’s a setting ‘Promotion Settings’ that invariably shows ‘yes’ as it’s status. Then there’s a setting for ‘promote the backlink manually’ and one last one to ‘delete this backlink’.

So – is this all just for show, or do the backlinks need to be promoted manually, or is everything ok as it is?

    Thanks for any clarification!

When a backlink is detected, the plugin pushes the referring website to so called “indexing services” like for example pingomatic. Those indexing services take care that search engines find your backlinks, so your website gets “credited” with the backlink.
So there is no manual effort needed and you can let it run on auto-pilot.
