I am not certain I want Buddypress at all...I was told I did,but honestly, I DO NOT WANT Buddypress dominating the look, feel and design.

So I am not certain if the rest of my post here is actually about Multisite or about my theme design...please help direct me to the right place if so.

An example of the site I want to create both as a frontpage (main site) and sites...is found at http://www.spottedbylocals.com/online/ whoever put it together did a wonderful job...thing is...I don't have money to pay someone to do this.

What I am most interested in is in the main site (index page) and the other sites sharing a header index so that all of the sites are viewed to be part of one big network...does this make sense?

I am curious how to accomplish this...AND...How to remove or put in dormancy buddypress as the social aspect of what I am building is not a high priority.

Thanks to the board to help me with the install of Multisite...I hired a guy to do the buddypress install so I am lost on it.

    Hope this makes sense.

It doesn't have to, you know... That really is theme design.

Disable all the BP stuff you don't need or want, and the rest is themes.
