  • Plugin is super, but they are updating it daily. Why not monthly? No we have to test it everytime before putting live. Can’t the programmer create a solid product which doesn’t require bugfixes all the time. Would save us lot’s of time! Without this, the plugins would be rated 5 stars.

    Our developers work continuously on improving the plugin and every two weeks we release a new plugin update. These frequent updates allow us to stay current with new features, bugfixes, SEO developments, compatibility with other plugins and more. If you want to learn more about our update policy, please refer to this KB article: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/plugin-version-numbers-and-frequent-updates/ That being said, we understand the continuous updates may be a bit insistent for some users.

    As you correctly pointed out, it’s always a good practice to test plugin and theme updates on a staging site before pushing changes to production.
