The only reason I installed was because of alt tags. Seo ultimate did everything I needed and then some.
What urks me the most is the “Google or nothing” mentality. The point of seo to begin with is to drive traffic. So why are we neglecting the mom and pops? If your concern is space use a module system. Yes, yes, Google takes up the vast majority of the pie. I know. But for an even bigger piece of the pie are websites who don’t want to discourage traffic from any search engine. If you forgot Google was way smaller than Yahoo for awhile.
And while I understand smaller less active sites have a convenience factor with automatic pings, larger sites with several posts daily are spamming Google.
