    You have a plugin called “smartcrawl-wordpress-seo” that is creating duplicate meta tags and may be the source of those placeholders (“#site_title #separator_sa #tagline” are not from WPSSO Core). You may want to try and deactivate that plugin to see if that resolves the issue.

    Thank you. Disabling their plugin did not resolve the issue.

    However, deactivating your plugin resolves the issue.

    Update: The tags were from AIO SEO.
