Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » OG URL when canonical url specified

    Hello,
When I specify a canonical URL, the OG URL is set to the same URL.
Instead, I would like the OG URL to be the URL of the article, like when I don’t use canonical.
    Thanks.

This is to be expected as when you set a canonical pointing to another URL, this means the post (where you set the canonical URL) is no longer crawlable by the search engine. This is also true for the social media. So, our plugin automatically set the canonical URL om the og:url meta.

However, if you’d really like to change the og:url, you can do it manually by using the wpseo_opengraph_url filter.
