Planning a switch to WordPress from Movable Type. I’m interested in setting up a linklog in addition to the regular articles I post on my indie media blog. This is how I see it working for the reader using Firefox livebookmarks: the posts from the linklog category would be tagged in the title as (Link) and when chosen, link directly to the news item or whatnot instead of my site. The regular posts would link to the article on my blog. For people who just visit the site there’s be a title listing on the sidebar that’d link directly to the offsite URL.
The built-in blogrolling would do a lot of this but I can’t see how it could be added to the RSS feed and function in the manner I describe. Is there a way for the RSS to format different category posts in different ways? Or some other solution entirely?
Thanks for reading!
