# Offline link

 * I don’t know if this correct bit of the forum to post this.Does anyone know of
   a plugin or why of when WordPress is offline I can give a link to someone so 
   they can view the site?

 * Yes so when the website offline and building the is there a way of giving someone
   a link so they can go past the offline message and see the site. At the moment
   we are using IgniteUp but it just doesn’t work. Just wanted to know if another
   way someone can recommend

 * Do you mean you have something blocking the site but the site is otherwise online?
   It would depend on how you block the site.
 * Why not just use an .htpasswd ahead of the website so anyone who wants to see
   the site needs a userid/password? No WP plugins are required for that. You may
   be able to set it up via your hosting control panel.
