office365 smtp sender doesn't work

    I have office365 email with my godaddy managed wordpress hosting and I wanna use that email(which godaddy told me will work) as the smtp third party sender for sending with emails. I put all my information in correctly and it gives me the error “Error Sending Message SMTP works with MailPoet to contact@rogues.review | SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. |
    Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to smtp.office365.com:587 (Connection refused) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas05_data02/30/2885830/html/wp-content/plugins/wysija-newsletters/inc/phpmailer/class.smtp.php on line 123″

    I have already trying deactivating every plugin and stil trying, doesn’t work, and what is weird is it doesn’t work with gmail smtp either.

    update, doesn;t work with amazon SES either.

    It wont work if your using godaddy. I have been on the phone with them myself trying to fix it.

    Yeah i just switched to sitegrounds but am still receiving an error no matter the smtp provider used, and sitegrounds promised that all ports were open(it is stated they are as well)

    I noticed today that it wasn’t connecting to Amazon SES – sounds like it might be an issue with the new version.

    We moved to MailPoet quite recently, had it all set up and working, and now we’re ready to start actually sending, its no longer working. This is after spending a good chunk of time merging and deducing various historical lists into a shiny new list. Frustrating.

    Post back here if you come across a solution or fix, and I will to.

    Usually with SES, the solution is to try a different port.

    Can you try that?
