Offer submission errors when using CloudFlare SSL | WordPress.org

Hey there! Just thought I’d submit a small bug report that I noticed, after encountering the same errors as:

– https://wordpress.org/support/topic/getting-there-was-an-error-sending-your-offer
– https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-occurs-on-submitting-offer

In my case I tracked it down to an incompatibility with this plugin and the CloudFlare Flexible SSL WordPress plugin.

When submitting an offer via a product page loaded over https (not sure if it’s unique to CloudFlare SSL or not) — the form submission succeeds (email received), but the front end shows an error saying that the offer could not be sent.

When still using the CloudFlare plugin but loading the same page over regular http, there are no problems at all.

Unrelated: It is a little confusing the the loading spinner during offer submission only spins briefly, and then hangs, even though the submission works correctly. It would be great if this animation was set to infinite!

We have not had any other reports of issues with sites running SSL, and we’re not able to reproduce that ourselves, so I’m guessing it must have something to do with how CloudFlare handles that traffic.

I created a new issue for this in our GitHub repo where we are tracking all updates for the 1.3.1 release that we’re working on next for this plugin.

I’ll be sure to update you once that’s ready. It might be a month or two before we’re able to focus on that, though, because we’re currently focused on some of our other more popular plugins.

Just so you know, the spinner animation is now infinite in our latest release. We’re still working to resolve any problems with CloudFlare SSL but it’s a bit tough for us to troubleshoot since we don’t use it ourselves. Would you be able to let us troubleshoot directly from your server, by chance?
