Support » Plugin: Instant Articles for WP » oEmbed Vimeo video not being included in transformed markup

  • Using Instant Articles 3.1.3, and using the built in oEmbed feature for embedding video from Vimeo (using just the url) – the transformed markup shows no video.

    Adding the video as an iframe instead, and the video is added to the transformed markup.

    Seems like a bug?!

  • Hi @jarledb. If you upgrade to the latest version (v3.2), is this still an issue? I ask because of this change which was just rolled out: #376.

    When I test with the following link in a blog post:

    https://vimeo.com/181326888

    The Source Markup becomes the following:

    <p><iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/181326888" width="840" height="473" frameborder="0" title="AudioOpera - Forever" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe></p>

    And the Transformed Markup (Instant Articles format) becomes:

    <figure class="op-interactive">
      <iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/181326888" class="no-margin" width="840" height="473"></iframe>
    </figure>
