• I have odd symbols at the very top of my main page. It’s not within my design layout because I’ve changed my layout twice and it does not go away. Also, it is only seen at my main page (omommawrites.com) and not on any other pages (like about me, or if you click on a specific post) or subdomains.

    I’ve asked my hosting about it for support and they can do nothing, they say it’s something within wordpress.

    Help?

  • It looks like this is actually typed in the index page of your theme. Open your index.php in a text editor and see if this see these typed there. If so, delete it.

    Looking at your page source – you have those extraneous characters here:

    <!-- /all in one seo pack -->
    Z
    	Z

    </head>

    No idea what could have caused that, but that’s where the code is.

    How did you place the All In One SEO Pack code into your header.php? By that I mean, what program did you use to edit header.php? It’s looking a lot like it was edited with a word processor, but that’s just a guess.

    I’ve not used that plugin, so if it puts the code into header.php by itself, I’d try re-uploading the plugin.

    I deactivated that plug in and it’s still showing up. I have looked at those within my theme editor in wordpress but haven’t seen anything odd like this. Is there a main index, page source, or header.php I need to look at and if so, How do I access it? What type of program?

    Thanks for the help!

    If you want to zip your theme and put it somewhere so I can download it, I’ll be happy to look at it and see if I can fix it. Just post the download link back here. It’s getting late here, so may be tomorrow before I get to it.
