Odd problems and a fix.

    Starting with Fast Secure Contact Form Version 3.1.8.1 I’ve been having odd problems. On one of my sites the captcha image wasn’t showing. On another I had a “attachment temporary directory not writable” error message. Both problems only appeared when I was not logged in as Admin.

    I fixed both problems by deactivating and reactivating the sites theme. I use different themes on both sites. Twenty Ten on one site and a theme called 1024px on the other.

    I have an explanation that might make sense.
    Maybe you have a cache plugin and when you change the theme is empties the cache. The problem could return after the pages were cached for some time.

    There was a coding error since 3.1.7 that would cause the problem you describe.
    The current download has a fix for this but I did not bump the version yet.
    Until 3.1.8.2 comes out, if you are having these issues, please update to the latest code following these instructions:

    Looks like you nailed it. I recently started using Hyper Cache. I’ve excluded my /contact/ URIs from the cache.
