# Odd menu behaviour

 * Hello, everyone.
 * We experience unusual behaviour with a WordPress install that is based on the
   Genesis framework. We use WPML and a bunch of other plugins, but nothing “exotic”.
 * The problem in short: Every once in a while, after we changed some content on
   a page, when changing from backend to frontend the menu order gets mixed up.
 * We us the normal WordPress drag and drop menu builder for the menu and we have
   
   a couple of menu items and sub-items that are all visible (no sub-item is closed:
   this is the only speciality of this menu).
 * The details: So before we edit something we have e.g. the menu order
    -menu-item-
   1 –subitem1-1 –subitem1-2
 * -menu-item-2
    –subitem2-1 –subitem2-2
 * menu-item-3
 * menu-item-4
 * But right after a change on a page in the backend we have
 * -menu-item-2
    –subitem2-2 –subitem2-1
 * menu-item-3
 * -menu-item-1
    –subitem1-1 –subitem1-2
 * menu-item-4
 * Analysis: This does neither seem to follow any pattern (like a former menu order
   that has been stored somewhere in the database) nor does it happen every single
   time we change something.
 * My question: Does this error sound familiar to anyone? Could it be a simple
    
   error with WP Super Cache (I just un-installed it just to be sure) or a problem
   related to Genesis?

 * I cannot provide a link as the site is not public yet. Please be patient with
   me if
    diagnosis might not be possible without out it. I hope to receive some
   input to figure the configuration mismatch out by myself.
