  • Hi

If I Google for my site, I get a couple of strange results, i.e:

    idden; width:75px; height:21px;” allowTransparency=”true …
    http://www.mydomain.co.uk/portfolio.html
    idden; width:75px; height:21px;” allowTransparency=”true”>. MyDomain
    ww.mydomain.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/flexslider/js/jquery …

    http://www.mydomain.co.uk/wp/
    ww.mydomain.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/flexslider/js/jquery.flexslider-min.js?ver=1.5′>

I’ve recently redesigned the site in WordPress. It was previously an HTML site and did have a portfolio.html before the redesign.

Could anyone explain these listings and give me some advice on how to remove them as they don’t look too good!

    Thanks

  • Google states that they reserve the right to choose their own titles or descriptions and can override what you specify if they think they can display something more relevant, but what is displaying for you is not correct and definitely not more relevant.

Have you looked at the source code for your page to see what is contained in the title and meta description tags in the header?

I should also ask if you have these tags populated on your pages.

Thanks – just asked Google not to index those pages in the end.

    remove pages from Google
