    Hi OceanWP,

I’ve got a “classical” Elementor error while trying to edit the OceanWP template I built for the top bar (thru /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=oceanwp_library, then Edit with Elementor).

“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page.
You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

This template is mentioned in Customizer => Top bar => Content => Select a template (sorry for the potential mispelling, as my menus are displayed in French) and has been built a few weeks ago with no problem at all.

Fortunately, it still works OK on the front-end, and I would consider it as finalized, but it could be possible that my customer will like to change it a little bit…

This issue also occurs with a fresh new OceanWP template.

    Any idea ?!?
Thanks in advance for your help !
    Arnaud BeLO.

    Hi Shahin,

    Thanks for your response !
Indeed, I had already read the page, which explains in a certain way the situation, but doesn’t bring any solution to the issue.

This functionality to create templates thru OceanWP is an inner part of the OceanWP package. In my case, I just use it to customize the topbar of the theme, but it could be used for any other use. I just can’t help certifying that it doesn’t work anymore, as it has become impossible for me to create a new template this way (but it has been possible a few weeks before)…

Of course, I still can create templates thru the Elementor panel, but the OceanWP theme only allows to select an OceanWP template to customize the topbar.

    Hello @m1st3rpc,

We need to know the steps to reproduce it on a fresh WP.
Also, would you please provide us with some screenshots or short video and images of the errors you faced step by step?
You can upload your files to one of the following online services:
    https://postimages.org
    https://imgbb.com
    https://loom.com
    https://drive.google.com

For troubleshooting, please do the following steps and let me know the results:

1- Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugin.
    2- Deactivate all plugins.
3- Then, first activate the Ocean Extra plugin.
    4- Check your issue.
5- Then, activate your plugins one by one
6- After activation of any plugins, check your issue

Note 1: if you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, don’t forget to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools.

Also, please provide us with your system environment information. Please navigate to WP Dashboard > OceanWP > OceanWP Panel > System Info: https://i.postimg.cc/0QZrGq46/system-info.png. You can send the information as code here or upload them to http://pastebin.com/ and get an exclusive link.

    Please keep us posted.

    Hi again,

I finally managed to edit my OceanWP template by deactivating some plugins to see if something would change.

And the incriminated plugin was : Freesoul Deactivate Plugins. It allows to deactivate specific plugins on frontend or backend, thus avoiding execution of code with no use. The configuration of it can be a little bit tricky, so I changed some parameters, and now my OceanWP works again 🙂

    Great news 😀
