• Hello,

I have installed OceanWP theme on my WP website to try it with Elementor page builder, but I found that when using Footer Widget and set the width to full width and turn on the stretch option, the footer widget takes long time to load when someone visit the page that contains the footer widget!!

the footer widget appears first as a “box” then after few seconds it stretch to full width which first visitors can see different background color behind the footer widget until the widget stretch to full width!!

This is in addition to the very slow response & load when clicking customize button at the admin bar!!

this doesn’t happen when you add a section to the page using Elementor add section, so why is this happening !!

    Pls. help,
    Thank you

  • Hi,

Please share the website URL and share the memory limit that you are using.

Since you’re using the Elementor plugin, which is a resource-demanding plugin, I suggest you reach out to your hosting provider and ask them to set your WP Memory Limit to 768M if possible. If not, then 512M.

    Hello Abhishek,

You cannot see anything on my website at the moment cause I disabled the Footer Widget on my OceanWP theme and I created instead Elementor Footer section on each on my website pages.

this issue is not related to Elementor plugin it is related to OceanWP theme!

My WP Memory Limit is already set to 768M.

I’m using Elementor plugin with other themes and I don’t have this issue, only with OceanWP !

    Pls. help,
    Thanks

    Hi,

Please try to update the theme and plugin to the latest version and Clear entire browser / website / cloud cache.
Reset scripts via Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles, by disabling all, then enabling back again and saving changes, and check.

    Hello Abhishek,

I did all what you’ve mentioned above, still same very very slow response theme!

    Pls. help,
    Thanks

    Hello,

Stretch Option (Elementor) uses some javascript that is causing the issue.
OceanWP theme doesn’t control it. Try to disable the stretch option and follow this documentation to create the full-width footer – https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/600-how-to-create-a-custom-footer

    Hello Abhishek,

I already told you that this issue is not related to Elementor plugin because I’m using other themes with Elementor and I’m not getting this issue!!

it is related to OceanWP theme not Elementor plugin!

You maybe better have a closer look at the reason this happens only with your theme but not with other themes..

    Thanks
