# Obfuscation doesn’t work

 * I applied the shortcode to this page – [https://www.whatcomlocallaw.com/whatcom-county-attorney-directory-3/](https://www.whatcomlocallaw.com/whatcom-county-attorney-directory-3/)
 * I then ran a program named Email Extractor against that page. It picked up each
   of the email addresses on the page and dropped a message where there was no email
   address which said “You have not entered an email address for this shortcode.”
 * Suggestions?

 * Hi Robin,
 * First, to avoid the “You have not entered an email address for this shortcode.”
   message, please do not print the shortcode at all if you don’t have an email.
   I assume you’re doing this through your template so simply omit calling the shortcode
   or the eos_obfuscate() function.
 * Regarding this “Email Extractor” software, could you provide a link to it so 
   I can test it? Thanks.
