I just tried the latest version in WP 3.8.1.
Out of the 100 records I had it only imported 17 (that is, assuming that the lines “- No of post(s) Inserted – 1.” in the logs mean that 1 post was inserted, which I had to manually count…). Besides, only 50 records out of the 100 seem to have been procesed (again, I had to manually count the log output). I had 50 records log outputs, with most of them saying:
[07:03:41] – No of post(s) Skipped – 0.
[07:03:41] – No of post(s) Inserted – 0.
So, neither skipped nor imported? I guess they must have fallen into a wormhole and are now lost in hyperspace…
1)Why weren’t all the records even read?
2)Where did the total number of successful/failed records imported message go (it was in other versions)? I could not find that vital piece of information anywhere…
3)About the Log: Having having that insignificant, negligible, useless little piece of info on EVERY record import attempt is useless: We need to know what happened to each particular record, and be able to identify those records. Maybe letting the user choose a column to show that piece of info for every record and/or the record line number where the record was found within the CSV file would be useful.
4)What does “How much comparisons per Server-Request?” mean? Please be more specific than http://wordpress.org/support/topic/what-does-how-much-comparisons-per-server-request-mean?replies=3
Sorry for the tone of this post. Your plugin is great, but this time it was so frustrating and I was in a hurry and could not make it work.
