I have the two tied together. However, when I look at the subscribed emails on MailChimp, it’s less than half of what shows on MailMunch’s list (33 vs. 82).

Am I right to deduce that the difference is because of those who didn’t confirm their email addresses?

BTW, I saw the two lists, one by logging into MailChimp and looking at the subscribers. The MailMunch list I accessed through the WordPress backend system by clicking on the number of subscribers gained via each form.

  • I have this same issue. It’s very obvious to me that the numbers I see on WordPress via the MailMunch plug in are the subscribers who signed up using that particular form. I assume that since my older subscribers were obtained through a different system they don’t sync up with Mail Munch for that reason, but I do wish I could see a total somewhere on WordPress, including my older subscribers (and not have to check Mail Chimp).

I am facing the same issue. Anyone have solution to fix this.
Total number of subscribers in Mailchimp account is not same as MailMunch account.

With Double optin enabled there can be a difference in subscribers listed on MailMunch and MailChimp. MailMunch will record all subscribers generated through MailMunch forms however they will only be added to your MailChimp list after they have confirmed the Email address.

You can access your contact logs listed under Emails tab on “https://app.mailmunch.co/sites” If there is not error generated and success message for sync process appears then it means they have not confirmed their email address (if they do not appear in your MailChimp list)

So, if I understand correctly, unless mailmunch doesn’t check the double optin option when setting up the mailmunch form, mailchimp doesn’t recognize the optin in?

Is there a way to make Mailchimp recognize the optin from MailMunch if there is NOT a double optin?

If you do not have the double optin enabled in the Integrate step of the MailMunch form then this means that no confirmation email will be sent to subscriber from MailChimp and the subscriber will be directly added to your MailChimp list. If you are experiencing otherwise please create a support ticket so that we are able to look up your account and identify the issue.

    Resolving this.

    Hi,

A prospect has registered and received the confirmation message initially configured in MailChimp.
However, double optin is disabled on Mailmunch …
    I do not understand.
And what is even more strange is that the registration date of this prospect is January 1, 1970! while enrolled today …
