Number of posts on the front page

  • Hi,
on my front page I have 5 posts, 2 of which are complete posts (as configured in the “General” tab of the theme’s options), and 3 excerpts. This causes an unbalanced design, like this:

    +-----------+
    | |
    +-----------+
    | |
    +-----------+
    | | |
    +-----------+
    | |
    *-----*

Is there any way to configure the number of posts I want shown on the front page?

  • Changing the value of “Settings -> Reading -> Blog pages show at most -> XX posts” worked for me.

Although there seems to be an off-by-one-error somewhere, because my homepage always shows one more post than the value of the setting. So if I want to show six posts, I have to set it to five, for example.
