• before upgrading to 2.1, i had a standard photoblog set up, 1 post per page. after upgrading, even with “Blog Pages Show at most: x posts” set to 1, all posts appear on front page.

    any ideas?

  • Are you referring to the photoblog off your main page? http://dmbphotoblog.com/ or something else? I only see 1 entry on that particular photoblog.

sorry, left out the url: http://www.top-shotta.org

You were not kidding! All the posts! Have you tried changing the number to something else to see if it is a bug or not? Say, change it to 2 or 3 to see if the changes are having any effect. If they are not, maybe double check your main-index template to see if you hard coded the number of posts in it by accident?

    Just thinking aloud….

Same thing here. Any photoblog that was using a photoblog theme and showing only 1 post on the main page is now showing all the posts.

Changing to the default theme doesn’t help either; all the posts [aka images] are still shown.

    Any ideas?

Maybe compare the main index template calls from your templates with the ones that are called in default or classic that you uploaded with 2.1 for changes. That might be the easiest way to compare.

    this doesn’t have any effect

index page is the same as it was, 1 post per page.

default theme also displays all posts on front page

I have the same problem, all my posts are displaying in the index page, i try to change on all my themes and the error is the same, i’ve deactived the Wp-Paginate Plugin too but it still.

Fot me stumped…..anyone else have any ideas on this one?

I had a similiar issue. My “designer” built me a blog on 2.0.5 with WP-paginate that loads the sidebar. When I went to 2.0.6, all of a sudden 58 posts (the entire blog) showed up on the main page, with 1-6 at the bottom. If you clicked pages 2-6, it brought back the main page. Nothing I did fixed it. Upgraded to Ella with the same issue. I deactivated WP-Paginate and now I show 10 posts — BUT — the entire sidebar won’t load.

I really bi**hed at the designer, who sent me a version without the plugin he said. Yeah, right. Anyway, I deactivated it and the blog loads fine with 10 posts.

My problem now? There are no “next page” type listings at the bottom of the 10 posts and I have NO clue what to put it, or where.

Found a temporary fix. WP-paginate plugin was the reason in my case.

Disabling that plugin solves the issue in some way. Try it; it may work for you.

    It didn’t work for me.
