I’m having the exact same problem. Surprised more people aren’t reporting it, but I’m guessing we aren’t alone. Hope it gets fixed soon!
the share buttons are not showing the count or counter numbers for me as well. Tried deactivate and reactivate and no luck….
Whew! Glad I’m not crazy. Same issue here. Verified via FB’s debugger that the articles were shared more times than the counter is currently showing.
I’ve tried emptying my cache and everything else I can think of and zilch. Maybe it’s a temporary bug with FB. Frustrating.
My Facebook shares disappeared too
The issue is being fixed in Jetpack.
Facebook Changed Sharing Counts
I had the same issue too.
Same here. Apparently Facebook has released a new version of its API which has affected Jetpack, and the way it shows Facebook sharing, likes, etc.. counts. In all my articles that number has gone down to 0. It stays correct for the other social sites.

Is there any way to fix this? Or are the people at Jetpack working to solve the problem?
As @luke mentioned above, we’re looking into the issue. It appears Facebook made a significant change to their API today, thus causing issues with many Facebook sharing plugins.
We can restore this functionality in Jetpack, and weβre working as hard as we can to roll out a fix for this in the next version of Jetpack: https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/pull/4879
For now, you can get share counts from Facebook by switching to the Official Buttons style at Settings -> Sharing in your Dashboard, or if you wish to just disable share counts on all of the Icon Only and Icon + Text button styles, please follow this guide: https://jeremy.hu/jetpack-remove-the-share-counts-from-the-sharing-buttons/
I’m also having this problem. If I am signed up to get Jetpack update notifications will the fix appear there when you have it? CarolynTopolTalk.com
@cstopol and everyone else:
We just released a Jetpack update a few seconds ago, so you can just update Jetpack as soon as an update becomes available, and you’ll be all set!
Same here, I had 80 Facebook reactions at http://sunlog.ro/2016/07/iuliu-bakcsi-este-plagiator/, now there are zero. Same for all other articles from my blog: http://sunlog.ro.
@jeremy Herve
Does this has anything to do with Facebook deprecating it’s old API? Because if it does, this are bad news imo, meaning other Jetpack code may also be close to obsolete. Facebook told developers it’s going to deprecate this API some time ago. And you’re updating only now? When the old code it’s no longer working?

Working for me too thanks! Only difference I see is the icon has changed a bit, but the counts are back π
